Elisha Retreat

I joined Elisha retreat this long weekend. It was great. My teammates were nice and fun people. And we co-operated very well in games and had deep sharing during bedside fellowship. Each of us had different personalities and very different spiritual experience. And I think that we had learnt a lot from each other. This camp is definitely a great stepping stone for me to get involved into the fellowship.
The only thing that I found weird of this fellowship is realizing I am in the same fellowship with D. We were never in the same fellowship before. And in the camp, we didn't sit together like other couples did. And we didn't save seat for each other during meals like other couples did as well. Sisters asked if I needed to save a seat for D, and I said no. Then they asked me why. I answered them by asking "why do I need to?". Would they think that I am mean to D?! But D had never save seat for me neither. It was like we had consense or he already knew that it was not necessary for me (like what I though)? .
Tthe biggest challenge for me to integrate into this fellowship is to serve with D and have D in the same fellowship with me. May be it's becoz I'm not ready for the next stage of life yet, recognizing myself as "the other part" of D. Or may be it's due to my individuality or we haven't get use to that fellowship style yet. I don't know.

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone~

Tons of things dat I wanna give thanks to our amazing God:
1. Family
- many ups and downs in the past year for my mom's health. but finally, now she is improving a lot and happier than before.
- my dad's spiritual life is growing and I really admire his attitudes. He is really transformed!
- kel finally got into her dream program: early childhood education@ Ryerson. I pray that she will adopt to her university life soon and be involved in the ryerson fellowship. more importantly, spread gospel in the campus. she had done great things for God in a.y. and I believe that her faith will continue to be strong and God will use her in Ryerson.
2. School
- my awesome final university year @UT. I miss my profs in women's studies. I miss writing essays. I miss researching data. I miss writing thesis. In sum, I miss school life.
- studying @York right now. I'm glad that my family supports me to go on for second degree. And I will add oil and get into Master few years later.
3. Fellowship
- POF is a great great great blessing from God. Hallelujah
4. Spiritual life
- spiritual life was pretty dark before. but after going back to hk, there was a strong revival within me. And I've committed to God that I will go to China for Him to spread His words. Plus, I will bring my fire to everyone arround me. I will light up hybrid. (though I don't know how to)
5. Relationship
- I haven't fight with D for years. It doesn't mean that he is dat good. It's just I think that at this stage in our relationship, there is no meaning to fight or I should say there is nothing to fight about.
I have too much to thanks for... but I gotta run now. Anyways, thanks God for all He has done on me~ Hallelujah.

my first week of work @fairchild radio

Haven't blog for ages. let me resume by my first week of work.

Day 1 : tired & pressured
There were so many things to do and to learn. Since they were so lacking of ppl, my editor gave me so much pressures by telling me his expectations on me. I was writing/translating 9 hours in a row. BUT, I was so happy that some of my scripts were on air. And my co-workers and editor taught me a lot and corrected my mistakes.
Day 2: so excited
My voice was first time on air. Although that was just a recording, that made me happy for the whole night already. Also, I went to a press conference that was held by Orbis Canada. The expereience was very special to me. I met ppl from other media companies and learnt a lot from the presentation in the conference. And I also got to interview two of the significant ppl in Orbis.
Day 3: getting along
I finally got the guts to open up topics to talk to my co workers and editors. Since they always look so busy and serious, I was afraid to talk to them. But on this day, everyone seemed to be in good mood becoz there was not work to do. Plus, Cyrus was there. So I felt more comfortable to speak out. In addition, I got a chance to write a story about yesterday's conference. I was so happy to hear a story that was written by me on air.
Day 4: boring
Many ppl went to work on this day. Ususally, there were only 3 or 4 ppl in my department. But there were 6 ppl that day becoz 2 trainees were there. And they took my co workers' and editor's attention. Therefore, I was very free the whole day. My editor didn't even have time to assign me something to work on. It was boring; but in some sense, I was glad dat I can hang around instead of writing, writing, writing.

Yah, so this was my first week of work. I like this job not bad so far. My shoulder sore so bad every night after work becoz of writing. But I'm so "hung fok" to have D to massage for me every night. The massages were sooooooooooooooooooo good. I ususally felt asleep during dat and sent D home right away when he finished. :P

I thank Jesus for this job. At first, I was so unwilling to go to work. I wanted more vacations. But in fact, I realized that I'm so blessed that I didn't have to go through the job searchings and interviews torture for months after graduation like some of my friends do. I look forward to God's lead and see what can I do for His kingdom in this job.
